Former KORN Guitarist Speaks At California Church: Audio Available!
February 27, 2005An audio recording of former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch addressing the congregation this morning (Feb. 27) at the Valley Bible Fellowship in Bakersfield, California regarding his departure from the group and his decision to dedicate his life to Christianity has been posted online. Download the audio in two parts: Part#1 (6.55 MB),Part#2 (11.9 MB).
In other news, an unconfirmed report at Christdot.org suggests that Welch "has been receiving death threats" since announcing his departure from KORN. As a result, security was reportedly on hand during Brian's appearance at the church, where Welch spoke directly to many of his longtime fans.
In an interview with MTV News earlier this week, Brian said that he wasn't certain what he was going to say during his speech. "Man, when I get up there onstage, it's going to be me just letting things flow," he said. "I have no idea what I'm going to say, it's just going to come out," he said. "I mean, I'm going to be like a kid up there. Because that's really what I am now. I'm a baby Christian."
